Ben Loory
Ben Loory

Author of: Tales of Falling and Flying, and others

Ben Loory is an American short story writer. He is the author of the collections Tales of Falling and Flying and Stories for Nighttime and Some for the Day, both from Penguin Books. His fables and tales have appeared in The New Yorker, Electric Literature, Fairy Tale Review, and Bomb Magazine, and been heard on This American Life and Selected Shorts. He is also the author of a picture book for children, The Baseball Player and the Walrus. Loory lives and teaches short story writing in Los Angeles, California.

From tiny marvels to the mysteries of the universe, imagination meets science in storytelling that reveals the extraordinary in everyday life. These narratives blend curiosity, subtle magic, and insight to surprise, delight, and stay with readers long after the final page. Book signing: This session will be followed by a book signing with the participating authors.
