Sangeeta Mehta
Editor
Sangeeta Mehta has worked in the book publishing field since the late 1990s. A former acquiring editor at Little, Brown and Simon & Schuster, Sangeeta is currently a developmental editor focusing on children’s and adult fiction. Her clients include individual authors and publishers such as Amazon/Little A. Sangeeta also writes for Jane Friedman’s newsletter, The Bottom Line. A member of several nonprofit organizations, she has served as a board member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and The Word: A Storytelling Sanctuary and has been mentoring teen writers through the Board of Cooperative Educational Services since 2011. Prior to moving to New York City in 2002, Sangeeta assisted two literary agents and earned a master’s degree in comparative literature from UCLA.
