E Santhosh Kumar is a Malayalam writer of fiction working majorly on Novels, Short Stories and Children’s literature. He has published more than 25 books and won numerous awards that include Kerala Sahitya Akademy award (twice- one for short story collection and one for Novel), Kerala Institute for Children’s literature etc. Santhosh Kumar’s works have been translated into English, Tamil, Bangla, Kannada, Hindi, German, Gujarati etc. He had worked in a Government owned Insurance Company for three decades till 2020 when he took voluntary retirement to pursue a full time writing career. His latest novel “Tapomoyiyude Achan” has been adjudged as the best book of 2024 in the Kerala Literature Festival 2025 and won the Federal Bank Prize.
